SAUTSO GENERAL ELECTION 2012/2013, THE PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT MANIFESTO.

                                               VOTE FOR LEADERSHIP WITH EXCELLENCE SERVICE.

SAUTSO

- For effective implementation of the SAUTSO is constitution of 2008.

- Join with organizations catering for students at the National or international level

- Advocate for transparency, democracy rule of Law, good governance and active community participation which SAUTSO and in all possible level of leadership within and outside Tanzania.

- Fight against social economic segregation, a apartheid, poverty, ignorance, corruption of diseases.

- Consider gender and special groups in SAUTSO leadership 

ACADEMICS

-Contribute to the intellectual life of Tanzania by fathering the image of the university as a centre of excellence in terms of knowledge creation skills building.

-Organize debates, seminars, conferences, study tours as to enhance intellectual awareness to the student community.

-Emphasis on improvements to learning environment classrooms, library etc.

-Convince the university administration to distribute the exam (id) on reasonable time

-Maintain the students BARAZA routine as to explore the student view and opinion

STUDENTS LOANS

- Ensure the effective follow-up and information

- provision from “HESLB” to the students.

- Ensure the direct contact by loan ministry and class representatives

-Advice to university administration to consider the HESLB’ timetable with the University Allowance.

-Provide of guidance and counseling to students on the university life by the special psychologists.

ACCOMODATION

-Ensure accommodation services adhere to general heath standard to both in and off campus

-Help the first years student with off campus information

-Emphasis on reasonable house rents and security provision by the land lords

-Encourage private investors in hostel building

SECURITY AND DEFENCE

-Improve relationship with our neighboring communities

-Emphasis on self-defense and protection of ones property

 

-Convince the university administration to consider the issue of having the police station

LAW AND CONSTITUION

-Ensure the rule of raw, good governance and transparency

-Equip the students aware with the by lows SAUTSO’s constitution

-Respect human right and dignity

HEALTH ENVIRONMENT AND FOOD SERVICES

-Advice the university administration to improve the on-campus dispensary services

-Ensure cleanliness through the University surroundings

-Emphasis on environment prevention and promote environmental club eg. SEMA

SPORT AND ENTERTAINEMNTS

-Emphasis of sports activities participation to all students and grounds maintenance

-Introduce more sports and games and encourage sports fours within and outside Tanzania

-Advice the University administration to offer physical education course to bring the experts in sports and games.

-Look for more sponsors within the University and outside

-Promote better relationship with inside and outside universities.

SOCIAL WELFARE

-Invite more experts to equip students on current issues.

-Ensure high democracy in students believe/worship, giving opinion and arguments

-Encourage more interaction within and outside the faculties

-Organize more study and interaction tours.

FOREIGN AFFARIS

-Promote and maintain relationship with other students in learning institutions in Tanzania, East Africa, Africa and the world wide

-Participate in different university competition.

SPECIAL GROUPS

-Involve them in SAUTSO government

-Advice the University administration to deal with their challenges. E.g. consider them in buildings accommodation, study materials etc.   

      

  TRANSPORT

-Present a proposal to the University senate. The strategy of having the student’s minibuses with minimal fare.
